Today the Conservatives at the County Council once again refused to save money (and carbon) by dimming street lights early in the morning in the same way in which they aready do in the evening. Everybody agrees that there is no technical problem with this and and they did agree to do it in a few places where the lights are to be left on later – but nowhere else.
I originally suggested doing this a year ago, but apparently they still have not thought about it for long enough.
They have now wasted £80,000 and generated 450 tonnes of unnecessary CO2 whilst they have been refusing to do this.Leave a comment
