This is a report I received from a local resident:

“Two lorries and four men with all their kit came to make repairs to six potholes. This they completed quite quickly, but there were about 20 more which needed filling. The men had a considerable amount of tarmac left on the lorry, but it was said that the rest of the potholes were not to be done. So they sat in the lorries for a long time before departing, one assumes to go home at the end of the day.”

Although I have made some progress in getting local roads repaired this sort of thing happens all too often.

There needs to be a more sensible approach, which fills all the holes on one visit rather than leaving some which are judged not yet deep enough and making another visit to repair those a few weeks later.
