County Councillors have been asked to nominate three walking or cycling projects for the Active Travel Fund. Herts County Council is expected to get £6.7 million from the government to spend on increasing space for walking and cycling, new cycle lanes and cycle parking.
My three suggestions were:
1. The cycle and footbridge over the A505 to connect to Melbourn
2. A cycle way in the section of Melbourn Road in Royston which doesn’t currently have one.
3. A cycle way from Great Ashby to St. Nicholas to join the Great Ashby cycle routes to those in Stevenage.
