We now have a date for the work on the traffic island at the Great Ashby Way/Whitehorse Lane/Mendip Way roundabout that is needed for the school crossing patrol.

The work is to be done between 12th and 16th February. This is being done during half term week to reduce the congestion impact (there will be temporary traffic lights whilst the work is being done).

Once the work is complete the County Council will start the process of recruiting a school crossing patrol person. They will advertise locally for this so if you live in Great Ashby and would be interested in do this (or know somebody who would be) than keep an eye out for this.
