Thanks to all those who supported me in last week’s District Council election.

The result in Weston & Sandon ward was
Steve Jarvis 601 79.7%
Conservative 109 14.5%
Green 25 3.3%
Labour 19 2.5%

Across North Herts Liberal Democrats won six seats, Conservatives won seven seats and Labour won three seats. Tom Tyson was elected for the Arbury seat and Carol Stanier was elected in Royston Heath.

Because only a third of the seats were up for election this means that there are now 22 Conservatives, 16 Labour and 11 Liberal Democrat councillors – meaning that no single party has a majority of seats.
