It is good to see that LED “halos” have now been installed on the Baldock Street crossing by the Fire Station in Royston. Ever since the crossing was installed there have been complaints that yellow globes were difficult to see against the background of the sky.

After trying everything else the County Council officers agreed to my request to install the halos and they are now visible from a long way in each direction. Along with the speed indicator on the approach from the west they should ensure that drivers are aware of the crossing and don’t approach it too fast.
