More than 120 people, mainly from Weston and Sandon signed the petition calling on the County Council not to scrap the 23, 24 and 25 bus routes that servce Rushden, Sandon, Wallington and Weston.

A survey by the parish council in Wallington showed a large majority of people in the village thought that the bus which serves the village should continue.

The petition has now been submitted to Herts County Council.
